The Creative Touch

The Agony & Ecstasy

The agony and ecstasy of creating an artist website and blog....

Well, I have finally done it and established an artists blog and a website...  This has been a long time in coming and has taken a lot of trial and error to do.  As an artist, the minute you put your work on display, you open yourself to criticism.  The positive stuff is great but you can also receive negative input too.  If anyone has either, I think my shoulders are broad enough to bear both...

The agony is to think about images to put on my website and that was not easy.  I love working in many different media - watercolour, graphite, coloured pencil, fibre and photography as well as making cards,  hence the title of my blog - Every Which Way - because sometimes I am not sure which way to go with my creative energy...  Is anyone else out there like that.  I`d love to hear from you...  Also the agony is to anticipate what people will say...

The ecstasy is to have finally taken this step to make myself and my art much more public than it has ever been and to anticipate what the results might be...

Hi Liz

Welcome to FolioTwist. It's a great kind of artist site! So easy to use and thank goodness because coming up with the art and something to say about it can be hard work! Congratulations on having the courage to put yourself and your wonderful art out there! Best of luck! Happy painting and blogging!
